I will probably be selling my baby. My lovely wife has told me that she worries constantly about me riding to work every day (120km round trip) and I can't blame her. We have talked about it constantly & have come up with only one viable solution.
I will be buying something with four wheels and I'm not in a position at this present time to have both. I did dream of upgrading soon but could not go through with it. DAMN GUILT TRIP!
Anyway, she will be up for sale soon. When we are in more of a financially better position, I will be back in the game.
Until then, I'm feeling very sad.

It's never good news to know someone is leaving the fold.
I do hope that you end up on another bike sooner rather than later.
Guess that's why we didn't see you out for a little ride last weekend.
Guilt is never an easy thing to deal with and I don't blame you not wanting to ride 120 k's a day just for the commute to work.

Hey Adam, Trev beat me to it.!
Words of wisdom come better from the wise (read: old
) anyway.
Whilst I don't expect you to hang around here much (I wouldn't) you have the contact details of enough of us to say hello from time to time.
If you do choose to hang around, all the better
Anyway, don't be a complete stranger, and I'm sure if you hear a loud exhaust note burbling away from an unmistakable Italian v-twin in your travels, it'll make you stop and smile, if only for a moment.
Stay cool fella!

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
But please tell me you are still going to hang around and stare in open mouthed amazement at all the silly things we all do?

I can see where your coming from. I didn't have a bike at all for years while my kids were young. That was more a lack of funds than a safety issue.
Of course its more dangerous than being in a car but the other day I was thinking that a man could just as easily die from swine flu or whatever. You could live a "safe" life but it still won't necessarily ensure your survival.
I hope you get back on two wheels soon. [moto]

Mate....
I sold mine for different (but in a way similar) reasons but I understand how you feel... The call of the wild is strong... Look around for a track hack!!! They are cheap and require no rego or insurance and you can do track days with ya Duc mates!!!

20 YEARS!
Gimme about 2.
You all suck! You should be telling me to keep the bike! Or bugger your missus & upgrade anyway.
I'm still trying to figure out a way to get me out of this situation. A car and an upgrade. Just can't see myself driving a Corolla.
I heard smuggling drugs to/from Indonesia is a good, quick way to make money. I might look into that too.
