I thought I might have a pic of your CB, but I checked and, alas, I don't.  I guess I didn't start taking pics until you got the Dragon.

There it is with the Dragon lurking in the background.  At least the CB never tossed me.   Grin

Me on the CB after chasin' the Dragon up the Crest the day before I jaunted off on a 12hr marathon ride on that ol' thing through some of the pretttiest scenery northern NM and southern CO have to offer.  [moto] Nary a hiccup from it, I suspect the fuel filter was getting yucky towards the end of the ride though.

Love your riding gear there, pardner!  I remember, it got a little cold towards the top.  I felt bad for you.  But you dressed warmer for the trip to Colorado the next day.   And you have added a few hardier items to your squidly wardrobe, I am happy to say.  At least you had a helmet and gloves in that shot.

I remember when I was still drinking, riding that thing around town with a bandana and a buzz for gear.  Embarrassed

Well.....hmmmmmmmm....it all started when I was about 10 in 1970 when my big sisters friend came over on his "sportbike" a spanish Derby 50cc and he showed me how to put it in gear and let out the clutch, riding around on the grass in the back yard. Before long I convinced my dad to let me have a KTM 125 and as i am today, I had more than one bike. I really liked my yamaha rd50 which i transformed into a yz50 and before long I was flying, or at least having hallucinations. there are also a couple of shots of me riding wheelies on a Honda Monkey! Anyway thats all I could dig out of moms photo albums while I am visiting LA. Back next week!

Those are awsome HP!  These pics everyone is posting are fun.  Come on the rest of you, dig out those old photos!  applause

I actually rode for the first time around 1970 also on my brother's small dirt bike.  I want to say it was a 70cc, but can't remember exactly what model it was and unfortunately, I don't know if any pics even exist.  Sad

Kingbaby,
I heard you started riding at a very young and tender age.
Could this be you?

Nope, wasn't there officer, didn't see a thing.  Grin

July 1970.  Don't think my mom ever forgave my grandparents for this.  I rode it the next day, and was so little I had to pull up to a curb to put my foot down, and my dad waiting to grab it.

My dads new Triumph Apr 70

Mom is working on transferring 8 mm. to cd, so theres a good chance of seeing some vids worthy of sending to Americas Funniest Home Videos.
