If you want another option, check out www.roxspeedfx.com.  Goto dual sport bikes, handguards, handguard kits.  They offer the Powermadd Handguards with their own custom machined mounting system.  Once you get them set the way you want them, they can be removed and installed with one set screw.  I didn't have any issues with the spacing on my stock Magura bars.  If you are interested, let me know and I will put mine on and get some installed pics for you.  I only run them in the winter.

that ebay kit says it fits eithe 3/4 or 1" bars, and if the new bikes have the same dia, you'll need 7/8" fitment.

that said, there's a ton of guards out there, so I'm sure you'll be able to find something that will work  waytogo

Here is a couple of pics with the Powermadd guards.

Held in place with one set screw.  Install time is less than a minute.
No issues with guards moving at higher speeds.  No excess wind noise either.

The upper part of the guard pops off to expose air holes or to install an
extended cover that gives more protection.  I have no need for any more
though.

possibly not. I am assuming that the 696 has a 7/8" dia handlebar, just like the older monsters.

if that ebay kit is only made to fit either a 3/4" or 1" dia bar, it may not fit your bike
