Dude, what a great article!

The margarita part of this tale of woe is that you are now immortalized as a badass!

It makes you sound like Chuck f-ing Norris. New Ducati in the garage, exploding. You, leaping through the flames, pistol in hand.

The only thing missing is you roundhouse kicking the fire into submission!

might be able to buff that out! Smiley

I'm not sure how it works in these instances, but if it were me I'd try to hang onto that and hang it up in the garage or somethin. Interesting conversation piece.

FYI...the parking pucks that Jeff gives to people have been know to spontaneously combust. It's all part of his evil plan to get people to buy more stuff when the insurace check arrives.

Just got finished talking with the insurance adjuster and they DO NOT cover motorcycles under the policy we had.  This REALLY blows...  I'm out of a home, my mother is out a car, and I am out of a motorcycle...  It's my own fault for not having anything more than liability on our vehicles.  I bought the monster for $3500 cash, and since it was my first bike and my driving record wasn't that great, full coverage and compensation would have cost me almost $2000 a year... So I opted for liability which was about $500 a year.  I was pretty devastated when he told me it wasn't covered.

What can you do though... life will still go on and I still have my pups.  They are going to rebuild our house which should take about 6 months and I will be saving, again, to buy another bike in the near future.  Thanks for everyone's help here, over the past year or so while I was new to the bike and riding and asking typical newb questions... you all helped me out more than you know.  waytogo  Hopefully I will be back on two wheels in the near future...

That sucks about the bike. House fires are never fun. I hope you find a way to cover the cost of the bike.

Do you have a Paypal account?  If so, post it up here and I'll contribute to your bike fund.

My insurance guy told me the same thing.   Not covered.  And I had to have a professional electrician do my "hobby shop" in the garage, licensed and bonded.

Hope things work out for you.
