take the tiller out of the basement

Three cranks on the switch.

Presto it starts.

2 year old gas and all!  [thumbsup]

It was my grandpa's and he left us over 20 years ago.

He could keep anything with a motor going.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Troy-bilt  PONY

When I got it from my uncle about 4 years ago it was sitting behind a shed with a cover on it. MY uncle said it was there for 10 years or so. He never started it.

I took it home cleaned it up. I knew there was an old bees nest inside it somewhere.

I pulled three times on the pull start and it fired right up.

This time had newer type fuel and I couldn't believe it started after it sat for so long with the new garbage gas.

Today I will run out all the gas and put it back in storage for another year.
Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Nope, but some bugs are attacking my beans.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I just took some photos this am of my garden.  I have only had 2 cherries so far, but everything is getting close.  No bug or disease problems:

maybe next year, buy some mantis hatchlings.  they are voracious carnivores and will eat every bug they find.

I've been helping out a friend that has a huge green house at his place.  It's about a hundred feet long and maybe 35-45 feet wide.  We have things growing in all sorts of different systems.  He has one tomato in a hydroponic system that looks like it could get up and walk away on it's own.  The tomatos are HUGE.  We are working on getting the pond up and running so we can put the fish back in it.  We have six raised beds out side with both veggies and flowers. A zone has just cacti. He has a blood orange tree.  Some other fruit trees, lemon, lime, etc.

Some of the stuff we are growing:

A couple variates of tomatos
Spicy, sweet, and purple basil
Leeks
Onions
Garlic
Red, orange, and yellow bell peppers
Jalapanos
Serrano peppers
A couple types of lettuce
Strawberries
Blue Berries
Black Berries
Broccoli
Corn
Brussel sprouts
Beets
Peas
Potatoes
Watermelon
Cantalope
Cilantro
Parsely

I don't know the list goes on from there.  I'm headed out there in in the next few days so I'll get some pics.
