I know what oil i'm using... So that's not the question... We have plenty of info on the subject thanks to our dearly missed friend GeorgeCLS..
But HOW MUCH oil do i put in my bike?
According to my manual, with a filter a change, i should be using 3.3 Literes, which converts to 3.487 US Quarts... That seems like ALOT of oil for a bike... My girlfriends Gixxer only takes 2.5 quarts...
Is this correct?

3 and a half seems about right.  Put in 3 or so, let it settle and see where it falls on the sight glass.  Fill it to the high marks on the glass - then start the bike and run it briefly.  Let ti sit for a minute or two and then check the glass again - you'll find the level in the glass went down a bit.  Top up until the oil is between the marks again. You'll probably find it's bout 3.5 quarts.

Comparing your bike to his is apples and oranges.  One thing to keep in mind is you've probably got an oil cooler which he probably doesn't.  So you'll need some additional volume as a result.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Obligatory mechanically handicapped warning: Don't forget to do it while the bike is upright.
