Jeez,
they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Take a look at the Bike of the Moment Baby - Cellis' S2R1K at http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/

An immense amount of time and money has been spent to turn a work of art like a S2R monster into that appaling abortion...

I understand where you're coming from, I have never really been a fan of this bike.
But then that is why we all have our own taste in what we do with our bikes.

Once you get to that point of modding you are moving into the realms of art imo, which is subjective at the best of times.  Some bits I like a lot. Some bits not so much. I reckon most monsters look pretty good the way they came off the factory floor  applause

It's something about 45 degrees from the axle and blah blah.
I think most  Police wouldn't know if it was modded or not.
Specially when it has all it's indicators, number plate light and proper tail light.

Over in perth I was told that when the bike is upright if you look down in a straight line over arse end you should not be able to see the tire (i think by 5mm) or something like that.  I think each to their own.  Mine has the DP tail tidy which shows the red frame through and my brother hates it.  He got the bog standard one in CF from ducati thailand, they quit everything out at less than 50% still ex but very nice fit.

I know what you mean about art.  Personally i agree with the original poster, the bike looks awful.

To me this is art:

Zoom-out

Just wish i could ride it more.

Cheers

That bike of Celli's is fuuuuugly

The S4 still looks like a bike with half a fridge hanging off the bottom though...... Evil

Ahh, Celli's bike, Seems to divide people one way or the other, I like some parts of it, there are other parts I hate, I just can't stand how short the seat is, a tail chop is one thing, but I think he's gone a bit far with how short the seat is,
but do I hate the bike? no.
Would I go that far? no.
But do I appreciate the amount of time and effort he has put into the machine? yes
Do I appreciate that the guy has the balls to build his vision of a modded Monster? yes

Well done to him for that  waytogo He would have known he would get praise for putting something like that on a hard core Ducati Monster forum like this, he also would have known he would cop a lot of crap also!

But it would appear to be one of those bikes, people have very strong opinions of it (good or bad)

I can appreciate small parts of it but it still looks like something my dog just dug up.

+1.

It takes alot of balls to take an already beautiful bike and do something like that to it.
