I saw a red one today on the street. The guy was riding 2 up and I drooled from the second I spotted it until I lost sight of it in my rearview (they were heading the opposite direction).

I sat on one last week, the stupid pipes foul your heel when you're tying to get the balls of your feet on the pegs. Otherwise, it was really nice but I can't understand why Ducati wouldn't just do under seat exhausts.

Gee, thanks. I think. I see by their site that the rise and pullback are about what I was thinking too.

Gulp. Need pretty red sex machine.... Smiley

My pleasure!  Grin

The Heli Bars also fix the problem of cracking your knuckles on the fairing at full lock. In the end I still couldn't live with my 848 on the street...but the Heli Bars were a HUGE improvement. The local traffic, distance to twisties, and bike hating local police all contributed to the demise of my 848 though.  Undecided

If (big IF) I pulled the trigger on a 1098, it would be solely for shorter pleasure rides, mainly raising hell on the back roads around the local lakes (and leering at it while drinking beer in the shop). No commuting, no town riding, no long trips.

Of course, a Hyper S would be a better all-around fit, but for less than a couple of Gs more....
