Thanks.
Nah, Honestly, I've been hurt worse playing rugby.
What'll hurt the most is my wallet. Have you seen what they want for a tank these days?
Glad you're OK...

tanks can be fixed. ;)

Dude glad you are okay for the most part. Bikes can be fixed. Lookin at that pic of your shoulder makes me wonder how much that mesh jacket actually helped you. I guess it did its job just not as well as it should have.

Exact thing I thought... maybe I am expecting too much from riding equipment...

I don't want to sound like I'm preaching.

I watched a guy slide less than 20 feet with mesh...

and he had injuries similar to what Bun Bun had.

I wear leather. [thumbsup]

+1   I have a mesh jacket that I won't wear. It just doesn't feel secure compared to leather.  The mesh moves around quite a bit and doesn't hold the armor in the correct spots just while wearing it. I guess that's why Bun Bun's shoulder looks like it does. My perf leather doesn't move or shift at all.  That's what I wear every time I ride.

I hit concrete at about 45 MPH and skidded for 20+ feet with a 350lb bike on top of me.
I walked away with a couple of boo-boos.
I'm satisfied.
The boo-boo on my knee was through kevlar.
Leather is great, but it's heavy, and doesn't breathe. I've got a 2-piece Dainese, and a leather Willie G. Harley jacket, but it was too warm for me to be comfortable in either.
Even the perfed leathers aren't as comfortable as textile.
I'm already looking for a replacement, and I'm trying to find the same jacket.

Leather would have prevented the booboo.  On the other hand, I'm sure the jacket was the difference between minor rash and a whole bunch of flesh.

Glad your ribs feel better.

+1 on the full face hat.  Get an op-sight or transparent adhesive on the shoulder to cut the weeping & keep it moist.

Geez, glad you are relatively ok.  Hope you and the bike heal up quickly.

Heal up.  Your shoulder is making me rethink my mesh jacket - just in time to rethink it for the summer too.  Great.

Big Troubled Bear

Glad you are ok [thumbsup]

I only wear leather, and it get`s hot here in Africa ;D

Glad you are okay. Nice to hear that the gear did its job.  Try ebay for tanks.  [thumbsup]
