If so, come by and say hi at lunch.  I'll be eating with all the other cornerworkers at the Cafe picnic benches.  I would say I'll be the one in a white shirt and white pants, but that would be most unhelpful.  Just ask for Emily.

Who else will be stopping by?

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Well managed to do 3 tanks of gas and still watch the races. Started with an early breakfast, tire kicking, and gawking at some very special classic European Hardware at Livestock Exchange. Then wandered around out west of Marshal working my way back and arrived at the track at around 12. Stopped by and said Hi to some of the MAD racers as well as the DucPond crew. Was shocked not to see anyone from CAM or MAD. I know Emily was there, heard she was in turn 1. I parked under the big tree between the two stands on the Carousel, was a great day for a ride and watching some racing, perfect weather. Glad I missed the red flag incident in the morning. - Gene

For those who may have heard, this is what happened: http://www.herald-mail.com/?cmd=displaystory&story_id=224532&format=html

Please keep his family and friends, and particularly his wife, Shiloe, in your thoughts.

i was crossing the bridge when he hit, i stopped as the whole bridge rumbled, then i just saw tires rolling down the track from the dismantled barrier.

i had no idea this was fatal until this morning, i was at the races for the vintage class Saturday, and left early Sunday morning.

Gene. sorry I missed you - I pitted in a weird spot to get close to some electrical and ended get being hidden by a couple of folks who parked their cars in front. I saw Donnie and Emily (briefly). Weather was great, but the 750 practice incident cast a cloud. Thoughts with his family.
