is he not shifting his body back to the left to prepare for the upcoming left hander? Looks like its mid-motion to me.

That is exactly what is happening there. I had a shot from the frame before, but figured I would get a response from this one. Zaster knows how much I like this set of turns so he poured it on about two turns earlier.  Coming from a ski & bicycle racing back ground, setting up for the turn & letting the skis, or bike come back under you is everything in a very quick lead change corner.Perfect form Zaster  applause

Thanks for the response, that makes complete sense. I can't believe that I hadn't though about it enough to figure it out before I opened up my big mouth.  Sad

That's interesting, Keith. How else does the skiing background translate to riding?

If you are being serious  (and knowing you I think you are).   Having patience.  Even though you are hurling yourself down the hill...or road in this case. You have to prepare long before the "Fact" (point of no returrn).  When you enter a turn & you haven't prepaired for it, you have already set yourself up for failure, & have to pull a Chris Angel move.  Thats why you will see me shake my head when someone launches up the road on one none of us know.
Crashing make the beast with two backsing hurts...alot.

Trees = bad.
Trees, Rocks, Cliffs, Large/small animals, other skiers, Femur bent into & head first.

Yeah, I get that - the mental prep and patience, makes sense. And yeah, I was being serious  waytogo

two words: target fixation.  laughingdp

All I know is that I tried to ski as a kid and couldn't do it to save my life. I had a sprained ankle within minutes. A year of moto riding under my belt, I attempt to ski again and get moved up 4 levels in single two day trip. There's gotta be some correlation there, even beyond tree=bad.

Congrats on that Lu !

There is even things you do turning on skis that would be similar to counter steering.
I found that the better my ski racing got, the better my bike handling (both types) got.
So it definitely goes both ways.
I still suck on the moto ... Wuz up wit dat?  Angry
