Well folks the Monster was sold last night. More to follow.

A couple goodies I suppose. It'd be useless to deny or resist that. The bulk, however will go towards paying down bills, debt with some going into savings.

True to form the Monster resisted all the way. The new owner preferred having the stock bars back on. Through the many iterations of bars, brake lines and brake/clutch masters I came to the realization that the Brembo masters had never been installed on the stock bars. I ended up having to drill another hole to position the throttle grip in order for the Brembo master to fit & clear. New brake lines will have to be made up too as the left line is too short and is just barely working at this point. I spent the last two nights working up to 9:30 to get everything changed over. No modification will go unpunished.

I think I'll see this bike from time to time as the new owner & I actually know each from years ago golfing times. It did strike me funny though that my last actual ride was to go barreling down a dark street at night, in the rain, without gear, to do a quick road test before handing the bike over. Oh, I might add that the left grip hadn't set yet so it was still loose and sliding around a bit.  Tongue

Termis go on the 848 this weekend along with fixing the loose tail light mess. Whee!

Think the Daytona will be up for sale soon.  Shit timing too, as there are currently two or three of them for sale on CL at the moment.

Quite sad to see it go.  The Monster, not the  Daytona.  Not that there's anything wrong with the Triumph, of course.  You get the idea.

Sent you a PM.  They fit 50mm tubes. They have the risers but the risers are removable if you wish. They can also fit above the top triple if there is at least 19mm of fork tube showing.
