Riding without the rear wheel sprocket carrier/flange? Having it powdercoated.

Do you mean rear wheel hugger?  People have been known to ride without them.

Sorry, it's the rear sprocket flange  :-[ Don't know why I thought it was called the hub - I'll play my foreigner card - that helps sometimes [cheeky]

I'm assuming you mean the sprocket carrier as mentioned by ducpainter, and you absolutely can't run without it. Ugly things would follow.
