37 pages ago I noted how MJ changed music for the worse. Visuality and performance took the place of musicality and substance to an unprecedented degree. He and Madonna were both great examples of music industry professionals, but I wouldn't call them artists by any stretch.

ok mj and madonna are not artists LOL
okie dokie... lmao

They are/were performers....

not musical artists.

It's a perspective/opinion thing Beck.

true true but I'd bet I know a little bit about art/music then most here.
if you're over 60 then yea why would you like MJ? or Hip hop music? you wouldnt, I'd say 50 plus, you have no reason to even understand what MJ did with music or how he changed the world.

Actually, speaking as a musician, MJ's stuff is pretty complex and compelling for the pop idiom. I'm not a huge fan, but he did have genuine musical talent.

Yeah, agreed, but then he got all weirded out.

Look at him when he was just ten years old.

Smooth, balance, rhythm, and presence.

It was a natural gift for him.

Are we still dragging this out...  it's almost as bad as the National news tonight.

Coup in Honduras, US troops are withdrawing from cities in Iraq, huge Supreme Court ruling regarding firefighters in CT... all major news stories, but what leads the newscast?   A make the beast with two backsing story on who will have custody of mj's kids!  WHAT THE make the beast with two backs?

He's dead and soon going to start stinking.

I've got a new conspiracy for ya... His parent's had him killed to boost his sales and take over his estate!

I agree. He was a huge part of what I listened to growing up. But do I feel like crying about it, not even close...

I washed the truck when I found out.
Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

I took a nap and then went out with friends to the local pub and drank Guinness and made fun of people whining about him dying.
