Hi, i was going to purchase or find a Service Manual for my s2r 1000

since i need to find out ... what size socket i need to remove my rear wheel. which i think is a 46mm

and what the torque settings are to replace it and all of my bolts since i'm replacing the front tire too.

I looked and found torque settings for an s4r that someone posted.
are they the same? - sorry, new to trying to do anything service related myself.

Thanks and if you know of the best place to get a service manual too, that would be great.

Came out to a flat tire this am, and a friend has a tire changing machine.. never thought it would be so complicated... (and it is to a newbie)

Yes, it's a 46mm socket.

Easiest to use an impact gun to get it off.

When you reinstall, make *absolutely* sure you get the drive pins into the holes on the wheel, *not* in the slots.

That's a mistake that I would have bet the farm I'd never make ............. until I did.

I always very carefully watch the pins slide into the holes now.  I thought I was being careful before.

I'm going to make sure we pay close attention and take pictures when taking off the wheel, because at the moment i just don't understand what it means to get the drive pins into the holes..

i'm not trying to be smart, i just don't have a clue. So, i do appreciate the advise!! :)

Answering a ? with a ?. Does the service manual list the torque specs? I definitely had the two rear (eccentric) bolts way too tight I read a post that they are to be 33n I had them at 35 ft lbs. What can of worms did I just create/ ramifications?
08' S2R 1K   That was close  damn near lost a $400 hand cart.

Don't worry about it now, it'll be completely clear when you take the rear wheel off.

I suspect you'll be alright, just back 'em off and retorque to the right setting.
