I don't think we even need a CCW here in AZ anymore?!

Mainly fun.

I just want to have some protection.

I've posted a picture of this gun already, but I did modify it slightly during ten days out in the Arizona woods at the end of September.

let's keep this to showing off the guns you already own.

What are your needs?

CCW, hunt, shoot for fun?

I'd say some sort of .22, a 12ga and some sort of .45

I just want to have some protection.

I have to go with a .22 rifle of some sort, preferable an autoloader.  I have a 60's era Marlin 989 M2, which is patterned after an M1 rifle.  Very nice.  If I was buyign a new one, I'd get a Ruger 10/22 as there is a ton of parts for them.

marlin 989 M2

Pump shotgun, 12 ga of some sort.  Preferably something common.

I have to disagree about the pistol.  I prefer something with a common ammo and 9mm and 40 cal edge out 45 nowadays.  You find more people with 9 or 40 ammo laying around, not to mention pretty much every PD uses 9/40/357sig now.

If you >have< to have only three, that's where I'd go, but I'd really hedge on the 22 rifle as I'd want something that can take game or targets at a much better distance.  Probably at least at 223 or 308 (keeping to my "common ammo" ideal)

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

My line-up includes:
Mossberg 500 (5+1 capacity)18" barrel for home protection. It also came with a 28" barrel for clays/birds which is kinda nice.

Marlin 30-30 lever action (cowboy rifle, capacity 7+1?) which is the most natural for me b/c growing up I had a lever action BB gun with the exact same type of lever, so I literally have been cranking a new "round" in with the same motion since the age of 8.

Taurus PT709 Slim in 9mm, (capacity 7+1) its a nice little conceal carry piece, a bit bigger than a .380, but its a tradeoff for greater firepower. The new Slim model is only about 2 years old, but it comes in much smaller package than precious models, as the name implies it is rather narrow, and the egdes are mostly rounded or at least relieved so that is makes a nice carry piece without digging corners into your side or back or wherever you chose to carry it.

I've got a few other items in my small collection, but these are by far my favorites. I'd also like to eventually add an AR-15 in .223 with a 20" barrel for longer range shooting, but that won't be for a while.

I updated my original AR with a couple small things.

Original:

Bushy lower
DPMS LPK
Timney skeleton trigger
Magpul UBR stock
Rock River Dominator2 rear sight/EOTech mount
EOTech 55-something
Black Rock River grip

Updated:

UTG 2-piece quad-rail handguard
Magpul ladder rail guards
Magpul AFG2
FDE ERGO grip
Paint filled SAFE and FIRE (I was bored)
QD sling swivel on the stock

I've also gotten a few things done to my newest lower.

Rock River lower
Daniel Defense LPK
Rock River 2 stage match trigger
ERGO F93 stock (they bought the rights from Magpul)
The black Rock River grip from my other AR
Paint filled SAFE and FIRE (again, bored)

I just bought a new car so I think I might end up having to sit on this one for a little while.  Still trying to figure out what  want for an upper.  I keep going from a LaRue Stealth 16" to a Spike's 16".  It depends on my mood.  I'll probably go with the Spike's because it's about 1/3 the price.

Nice!  I just picked up two new lowers.  One is going to end up a suppressed SBR.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the other.
996 forks, BoomTubes, frame sliders, CRG bar-end mirrors, vizitech integrated tail light, rizoma front turn signals, rizoma grips, cycle cat multistrada clip ons, pantah belt covers - more to come

Nice!  Daddy like the UBR.  One thing though, try moving the AFG forward to the end of your rail.  You'll get better extension, and subsequently more control out of it that way.   [thumbsup]

I tried it out front like that but it didn't really work for me.  Before the AFG, I used to shoot gripping the magwell.  The AFG where it is right now is the most comfortable and controlling position.  My left wrist is kinda screwed up (what can brown do for you?).

I'll tell you what, though.  The AFG is the shizzy.  It provides a much more natural position.  Single best upgrade.  Even over the trigger, which was a pretty phenomenal upgrade in itself.

The UBR is pretty badass.  The stock on the other lower is pretty good too.  It's actually about 1.5" longer than the UBR extended.

BTW, how are you liking that SR-15?  Those things are pretty sweet.

Forgot to mention earlier that the upper is a Rock River 16" middy in 6.8.
