I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

That is exactly why there is a 7.5 on it.  A 10.5 is the shortest Surefire recommends for my 5.56 suppressor.

Handguard is a Yankee hill. I don't remember exactly which model. Cheaper than dirt had it on sale for a fantastic bargain.

you don't have to actually put the 7.5 on the upper, just list it on the form 4.

It looked familiar but I would have never guessed who made it.

Can you firearms gurus please recommend a mid-priced, reliable, accurate-out-of-the-box 1911?  That Kimber on the previous page is very nice...

Whats the licensing requirements of guns like an AR-15, AR-10 or M4?

fastwin

Not to get into local laws (since I don't know anything about specific Colorado gun laws) but AR-15s and AR-10s (since they are semi autos) shouldn't be bound by Federal NFA laws. Meaning since they are standard issue semi automatic, magazine fed rifles they are pretty much legal most places. For those that live in places where they are not legal please speak up... I don't go to places like that so I don't where they are. [laugh]

An M4 is a military issue AR platform gun that is fully automatic. THAT would fall under NFA laws. Lots of people (me included) have semi auto versions of the M4, which where I live is just as legal as a standard AR-15 or AR-10... or any other semi auto firearm.

I suppose you need to check on local Colorado semi auto, magazine fed rifle restrictions if such a thing exists. Probably any decent gun shop employee should be able to give you the full scoop.

Hope I didn't confuse you with my rambling.

Check out the Rock Island 1911s.

The RI 1911s I have seen look very nice. I have one of their AR lowers and I love it. Extremely well made. [thumbsup] I think I heard once that the guys running Rock Island used to work for Les Baer. Anyone know if that's true?

I have a few Kimbers and my personal experience has been very positive. Springfield Armory has been cranking out nice, off the shelf 1911s for a long time. Check them all out.
