It's sent many an unfortunate squirrel to that great oak tree in the sky.

Its an early Hatfield rifle, 36 cal flinter.  39" rust browned barrel and tiger stripe stock.  When you come out of the woods with a limit of squirrels with a flinter, it feels like you accomplished something.  Probably the prettiest rifle I own.  Shoots a patched round ball with 20 grains of Swiss 3F black powder and 4F in the pan.  7/8" English gunflints when I can find them.  I've also used some high end cut agate flints, which work real well also.

I'll have to post pics of T's rifle sometime

When you come out of the woods with a limit of squirrels...

There's a limit!?

A limit is the number of squirrels I want to clean at one setting.

They seem to be unreasonably attached to their skin.

Plus, no one makes a "butt out" tool for skwerrals

Well hell, guess I ought put up some pictures too...

Top is my pre-ban Colt AR-15 carbine.  Had this thing since I was 8 (old man wanted to make sure me and my brother had good guns in case it came to be that we wouldn't be able to).  Even with the scope mounted so high up and the 16" barrel, I've taken rabbits at 300 yards, and using the iron sights through the mount I picked one off on the run at about 15 yards.

Below it is my Kimber TLE/RL II 1911.  More accurate than I am.  Rabbits at 20 yds pretty easy.

Then, the old man's Grizzly Big Bore .50BMG.  It's a single shot bullpup... you actually remove the but to put in a new round.
