I think all genre of music have a great guitar player. It is quite hard for me to pick an overall best, but each style of music has a master.

I have to disagree with you on Slash. For real speed, my vote goes to Yngwie Malmsteen.

As for the other two, agreed on Satriani, but tied with him you have to throw in Vai.
