If two players are left in a texas hold em game, and on the table is a  2 2 3 3 A

one player has a 2 6 and the other has a 2 7

who wins? or is it a split pot?

What about same situation with a flush? ON the table is 3 4 5 6 10 and one player has a 7 A, the other a 7 J

For the first scenario it is a split pot because a full house is 2 2 2 3 3 for each player.  You play your best 5 cards.

Second scenario is also a split pot since you play your best 5 cards which in this case is 3 4 5 6 7

whichever hand has the straight flush (they both can't since they each have a 7)

or, if you're counting the A and J as flush cards, the A would win.

assuming straight for the 2nd, both situations are splits

if it's a flush on the table, and neither player is suited, it's still a split

if it's a flush on the table, and the A, J are suited, then the kicker comes into play, and the A wins

so if both player can make the exact same hand its a split pot, kicker doesnt count becaue it would be the 6th card...

kicker only comes into play when there is less than 5 cards being played?

just want to make sure i didnt get screwed out of a hundy. both the last player and I had the exact same hand, 2 full of 3s. but i had a 7 and he had a 6.

also, if everyone checks all across, doesnt everyone have to show their hand? or does it start wiht the player left to the dealer? and then everyone can choose not to?

in a five card game, you're only playing five cards, period.

correct. between the common cards and the two in your hand, you make the best hand TOTAL


your kicker would have been an uncountable 6th card


checks all around (no folds), everyone shows. I suppose left of dealer would be the first, but everyone shows.  if you didn't fold, you are still in the hand.

you don't have to show any hand but the winner. Table does not have to show losing cards ever.
Unless you are playing a home game and the rules are stated beforehand
