I don't miss mine at all either.  I don't commute, so I pick when I ride.  I've been caught out three times.  Twice it was pouring so I didn't notice the stripe on the back as I was soaked anyway.  The GF is a sport and really doesn't mind.  The biggest problem that night is she was wearing low rise jeans so a little of her back was exposed between her jacket and her pants, thereby funneling all the water into her jeans.

Made it a perfect time for one of my favorite puns "Why don't you take off your pants and jacket?"

I took mine off once and made a much smaller piece to go in its place, my wife said she liked the stock piece so I put it back on. What baby wants baby gets.

I like my beer tray. To me the bike looks truncated without it, perhaps because the bike must be truncated in order to remove it.

I don't like the christmas tree of reflectors, license holder, etc. that used to hang down below the beer tray. Mine has been removed and replaced with a license plate relocator so things look pretty much like redial's picture.

It's just it looks like it really doesn't belong on the bike at all. It's so out of proportion on the bike.Just my two centavos.

I agree, the chopped bikes look out of proportion to me.

And I also used a license plate relocator. [thumbsup]

One more for the beer tray and relocator.  The tail chop always reminds me of a docked dogs ass.     ;D

Tail chop gives it a forward leaning aggressive stance, like its ready to spring forward.  I loves my tail chop, complete with 20 guage shotgun shells!

That's why I installed a center stand. On the side stand it totally leaned like a drunken sailor, given the impression it was about to spring over, into a lowside.  ;D

grab two beers and stand around your bike with a friend. then feel like you need to take something apart to show him how awesome you are

look for a place to sit your beer so your hands are free.

you will immediately find the so called "beer tray" works like a charm even on a sidestand. convinced my friend who leaves his bike in my garage to leave his tail intact for just this reason  ;D (you didnt think id leave mine on did you?)

OHHHHHHHH!!!!!   geesh I feel stupider now.  Thanks tho!
Except mine would be a capuccino tray  ;D

and thats also why I could not figure out from pix ppl showed me where the hell it is/was, becuz the 696 does not have this evidentally.  TKS!
