Safety Wire Help

On the off chance I might actually do a track day in this life time, I'm planning on safety wiring my bike. It's time for an oil change so I thought what the heck!

I have the pre-drilled drain plug and the K&N filter with the safety wire hole.  Now I just need to drill holes somewhere near the said parts.

If any of you have experience with this, I'd appreciate a little help.  I'd need to borrow a "twisty tool" and you'd actually have to do the "twisty tooling" for me. At least the first time. [laugh]

I'd also bring along some drill bits to drill holes near the filter and plug and some safety wire.

I'm not in a huge rush to do this but will be changing the oil in the next few days so the bike will be ready to be wired anytime after that.  I'd obviously come to home of the "twisty tooler"!

Thanks. [thumbsup]

Cool!

I'm shooting to get the oil changed (along with the MXers) this weekend.  So possibly next weekend if you're available.

I think I'll need a 3/16ths drill bit from what I've read.  Does this sound right?

Thanks

For the filter, you could drill an 1/8" hole through the outer wall of the case that wraps around the filter.

For the drainplug, drill a small hole through the head of one of the case bolts near the drainplug.
