Hi all,

I just noticed that when I turn the ignition key to the on position, a "Maint" warning comes up on the odometer.  I have a 2007 S4R that was serviced at about 6500 miles, and currently has 7300 miles.  Any ideas to what may cause this warning to come on?

Thanks in advance for any input that you may have!

Chuck

I know there's a topic on here about it, because I did it a few months ago. Something like, hold the left button, then turn the key over while holding the button for 15 seconds. Something like that.
"Get your haggis right here. Chopped heart and lungs boiled in a wee sheep's stomach.
Tastes as good as it sounds. Good for what ales you."

Thanks Scotzman!  I will try that.

+1.  Hold left button, turn key to on, wait for gauge cluster to boot completely, let go of button, turn off key.  You can then turn it back on and you shouldn't get the maint reminder.

I think this works for most 2002+ Ducs.  I know it works on my '03 800.  We need to make a sticky thread on this maint reset stuff for diff years/models with only detailed and tested methods.  Not 20 vague suggestions with everyone chiming in with variations.

That would take all the fun of having people try each, sometimes bizzare suggestions.

It took me a couple of tries on my 05 S2R but it definitely is the lft button and some combination of key turning.  There's only so many combinations you can do, good luck.

I guess the determining factor is whether it's a tech thread or a spectator sport ;)
