I need to replace the washers for the heat shields on my 696.  I'm looking to find something at an auto parts store, or something local.  What exactly are they called?  I have the parts catalog, but am looking to replace them w/o going through the dealership. (2 hours away)  Thanks

they are "fiber' washers designed for heat. You can prob find them in the BBQ section at a hardware store or the like....

Farmandfleet, autozone, napa, walmart, true value hardware, nobody has anything.  Guess I'll have to call the dealership?

I'll call the dealer tomorrow.  If the price isn't horrible, I'll just get them from them.

I don't really find that you need them.  But I did order mine thru Commonwealth Moto for less than a buck each.  So go for it.
