Let me first say I'm wouldn't quite consider myself to be mechanically retarded, but perhaps mechanically shy.  I have a small mechanical comfort zone and really don't like getting outside of it.  I have removed and powder coated the heat shields, cans, exhaust mounts, and rearsets of my 696.  I am thinking about ceramic coating my pipes.  I just don't know how complicated it is to remove them.  I'm wondering if someone would post a How-to or some very descriptive instructions to help me get more comfortable with the thought or to help me to realize it's a little more than I want to take on.  (I do have the parts-service manual)  Any help is appreciated! im interested in the same thing. I was drooling over my bike the other day and realized what a stupid design the stock 696/1100 header pipes are. im hoping to switch over to termis or quat pipes soon
