Wow MH900E!
«

Ok so i'm pretty new to the whole Ducati scene. I just started riding a few years ago to begin with. I'm on the internet last night and I come across the MH900E. I read all about it and its limited production run. That is a beautiful bike. I've been thinking of getting something else to compliment the Monster and a sport classic is an option. I also thought about swapping for a SF S. But after seeing that MH, I know what I want.

Even less fair to post a Ti framed NCR.

Yessir, Mike The Bike has been a real hero of mine since the 60's. When he won the TT after swearing off for so long I was ecstatic. In 1978 Mike made his famous 'Come-Back' to the Isle of Man. Mike won the Formula 1 race at 38 years old on the Sports Motorcycle's Ducati and truly stamped his mark on the world of motorcycle racing as 'The Best That Ever Lived'. I'm biased here. That he got killed in a street car leaving a race breaks my mind.
The MH 900 evoluzione was an overpriced POS in my book and the original was a work of art. I had two friends buy em for "an investment".
What does the new one cost? 11ty billion euros? I'd sell your soul and the ducatimonsterforum to have one. That's the real deal IMHO;D
Update:
I've just been informed by a more well informed member of our group the I'm incorrect on Hailwood's demise.
he was killed by a drunken shitbag truck driver as he went to pick up the family dinner from a restaurant in the suburbs of Birmingham.
Oh yea, I apologize to owners of the MH 900 evoluzione, that POS comment was a little offensive. Sorry.

I had a poster of Hailwood swooping into a left hander fully cranked over on a Honda 250cc 6 cylinder. I lost that poster long ago but the picture remains firmly planted in my mind. Mike the Bike. John Surtees. Heros from a different time.

I've got an 1982 Hailwood Replica. It's currently not running and lives in a storage building. I know... it's a sin.
The story goes that Hailwood and his young daughter were on a fish and chips run and he spun the car purposely into the lorry so the impact would be on his side, hopefully saving his little girl. Sadly they both perished. Awful way for both of them to go.
I have a large, framed poster of him on the winning IOM bike above my workbench in my garage. It makes the garage! Just wish he was around to sign it...

I too love the looks of the MH900E.
I have a friend I told about how I'd like to someday have one .
He said although they are beautiful to look at , they are crap as far as a bike that is reliable and functional on a daily basis.
Bummed me out to hear that. I trust my friend.
He has been around Ducatis a lot of years.

make sure you ride one first. Those of less generously proportioned in the arms and spine area consider it a torture rack. At least I did. YMMV.

+1 on loving the MH900e. I reckon they are just beuatiful. Best design from Pierre Terblanche. Then again, I am biassed 'cause I have a Terblanche styled supersport. Lots of people don't like either bike (the MH or the later model supersports) but I luv 'em.
