Anyone have an extra foot peg laying around that will fit my S2R1000? I busted one at VIR yesterday and would like to be able to ride while I research my aftermarket performance rearset options. Or if anyone has adjustable rearsets they are selling, or has any advice on adjustable rearsets I'd be interested in that too.

Thanks

Don't worry, action pics are coming. If you are going to low-side on the track and get dragged into the dirt with your ankle over the handlebar, you might as well do it when a professional photographer with a telephoto lens is taking rapid-fire high resolution photos. I'm just waiting for the CD to arrive.

Rod, I got you.

Just a small note - DSS foot pegs and SSS monster pegs are not the same.  It'll definitely look different and I'm not 100% sure it'll fit
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

If you want one, I've got DSS pegs. PM me your address, and I'll ship 'em out.
No problem.

Nice guess.

I was running 1:55 and feeling pretty good. Came into turn 1 fine then lost the rear just as it becomes turn 2. I was dragging the peg and it lifted my rear just enough to lose traction. I'm hoping if I get rid some adjustable rearsets that are bit more aggressively positioned than the stock ones it will help fix that problem. I think I also need to get my ass off the bike more so that I don't have to lean the bike as far.

Not a scratch or a bruise on me though. I also had just installed frame sliders (with some telephone assistance from zooom), so the peg was the only real damage.

Geaux only had the passenger peg, which i already determined does not fit. Bun-Bun is sending me a peg from a DSS, so we'll see if it fits my SSS. Thanks guys

My stock s4rs pegs are in the shed if the other doesn't work out for you.

Was this Sunday after G went down and we packed up?  (she also scraped her way off turn one, albeit slower)

Sat pics are up on their web page and sunday's will be up tomorrow.   smaller and with the copywrite mark of course.

There's no difference between the rider or passenger pegs on a DSS monster.  So if Geaux one didn't fit, Bun's won't fit either.  The only difference between rider and passenger is the rider one has spring to flip it down and the passenger has spring and ball detent to keep it up.  But the peg is universal, those other bits just swap out.

Interesting, I have never had an issue with my S2R pegs, not even on Turn 7 where it is more likely. The M900 was a different matter, Race tech upgrade, single rate spring, and Cycle Cat rear sets fixed that.

And at least it was your bike, not a borrowed one. - Gene

Ian's right.
I just looked at my pegs and all 3 are the same. I can't tell which came from what side.
Sorry.

Statler, you're up.

The pitch of the grippy surface when looked at in relation to the mounting will tell right from left... But doesn't matter too much since they won't fit no new fangled S*R foo foo bikes  ;)

I guess it depends on what part you need. I just bought a brake lever from an S4. Exact same part as the one on my 620.
