Alternatives to bar mount mirrors
«

I use my mirrors constantly. I hate the look of them. I know many people have bought aftermarket mirrors to replace them, but I really like the look of no mirrors on the bars at all. I've searched a little and found very little options. I'm looking for something that would mount to my helmet, or any other option I may not be aware of. The only thing I've come across are the "bug eyes" mirrors that attach to the helmet.

Anyone use or know of something better than these? Thanks

That is the craziest thing I've ever seen. Definately different. I don't know any other options besides bar mounted mirrors. Sorry.

I've got some of the aftermarket Ducati Performance mirrors that came on my S4. They suck. They stick up too high, they move in the wind, and they vibrate. I've thought about the CRG type of bar ends, but I have dirt bike bars that are fairly wide, and i get real close sometimes when I split, so I don't want anything wider. I've seen little chopper type mirrors that hang below the bars, but vision looks obstructed (I use mine a lot too). I'm thinking of taking some new Harley mirrors, fairly oval shape, short stalks and doing whatever I have to do to mount them in my stock mounts. If I do it, I'll post up what I have to do.

Check out the Ducati Carbon Trader bar end mirrors. They are phenomenal, that look great, they are unobtrusive and relatively inexpensive. If you use PayPal you can have them within ONE week from England. The dollar is equal to 0.62 British Pounds as of today!

I've got the CRG lanesplitters and they are awesome. No vibration at speed, they stay put and they fold in easy when splitting. They're the best mod on my bike.

I tried them and they don't work unless you have a neck.

That's why they make a lane splitter version that folds in. You can't get any narrower than that. I run them on mu Husky which has huge bars and I don't have a problem.

I have the Oberon and they look exactly the same. They kick ass and look great.

I've seen the Reevu helmet and that is an option. I guess I'm drawn toward something I can mount on my visor or helmet that doesn't look too ridiculous.

Is anyone using a helmet-mounted solution or homemade option? I

Please explain. I assume you have a neck, so what am I not understanding?

I don't have much of one so the mirrors only show me my shoulders. People with longer necks don't seem to have a problem.

It has taken 7 years of intense research and development to perfect the rear view system that is fitted into every Reevu helmet. The patented multiple mirror system that is fitted within every Reevu helmet is a unique achievement of creative thinking and technical excellence. The mirror system is manufactured from a reflective polycarbonate material rather than glass. Unlike glass, this material is almost impossible to break and is lighter, providing additional safety and comfort to the wearer.
