OK so now that the bike is running well (not great, but i'll let the pros tune her in) I finished up most of the details!!!

Let me know what you think!! I'm saving the full tail elimination for after she gets inspected!!!

Below is my new speedometer, no wires, no magnets.... GPS

Takster

Hell yeah!

Looking good man.

Did you manage to figure out how to put the indicator lights in a little box like you were talking about?

YUP, if you noticed they are tucked in with the air box!! Looks really clean, I'm also working on making custim lights for the back from some High intensity LEDs I have.

Takster

Did you recently buy your monster from a guy in worcester, ma? I looked at one that had that same headlight on it maybe a month or so ago.

It's a 95 and got it about 3 weeks ago (worcester), had a lot of work just to get her running, but well worth it. Good thing I can do most of the work myself. [thumbsup]

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

NAKID

Well, I like how the top triple area is devoid of a gauge cluster but I have to say, not a fan of the headlight. Maybe if it didn't stick out so far...

That must be the same one that I tested out. The guy lived in a garage.?
It needed a bit more than what I was willing to do, from what I could tell with my very limited technical knowledge.
What did it end up needing in the end?

Rebuilt the carbs, new jets, gaskets and so on. I also replaced all fuel lines and filters as well as re synched the carbs and replaced all the belts, I still need to adjust all the valves but other then that I think it's all good.

As far as mods go, New Apex Clip Ons, new clutch cover, pressure plate, GPS Speedo, new bolts and misc hardware.

Thats a good amount of work you did there. It's good to see it looking so nice.
If you're looking to replace that headlight, I just replaced the stock one on my 97 M750, and the stock is sitting on a shelf now.

The headlight is my favorite item on the bike, that and the GPS based speedo!!!

Did the speedo that was on it have a tach? I'm in the market right now for a speedo/tach unit.
