You may run the risks, my friend, but I do the cutting. We cut down my percentage---uh, cigar?---liable to interfere with my aim.

The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body.

Inara: (pissed) "What did I say to you about barging into my shuttle?"

Mal: "That it was manly and impulsive?"

Inara: "Yes, precisely. Only the exact phrase I used was 'don't'."

Haven't been there in years and years but I remember some places (don't know if they're still there or are still interesting)

Chinatown
Olverra Street (Hispanic version of Chinatown)
LaBrea Tar Pits
Museum of Science and Industry (think this is near the Coliseum)
Sunset Blvd Night Clubs (not while riding :))
Already mentioned numerous times- Griffith Park Observatory.  I think the old oldie but goodie "Rebel Without a Cause" with Sal Mineo and Natalie Wood was filmed there.
Universal City movie studio tour
Taking in a movie at Grauman's Chinese theater for one of the other old classic theaters on Hollywood Blvd.
I'm pretty sure there are one or more motorcycle/car museums but can't dredge up the  names or location.
Beaches.  Crowded but interesting scenery  :)
Don't know where you're from or if you like fishing but a half-day fishing boat trip is fun if you like that kind of stuff.  But traveling you'd probably have to give away your fish.
Ride up to Mt Wilson Observatory, outside of Pasadena I think

I was in the area 2 years ago. We went to Point Dume early in the day and went swimming. There were lots of seals and pelicans, which was cool. Then we drove out to the desert and spent the night at Joshua Tree. In a couple hours, we got to see a strong contrast of differently beautiful landscapes.
