Aren`t there universal carbon fiber heel guards that you can buy for like $60 U.S. They just come with two hose clamps that the heel guard screws to. That will solve your problem and look decent doing it. I forgot who has them but I think one of the sponsors on here sells them also.

I'm sure MotoWheels have them and I might try that later on, although I'm not sure they will handle the sharp bend on the lower s-pipe. (?)

that bike looks awesome, sure looks mighty hot for Mr. Righty though!
Actually heat wasnt an issue on that bike what so ever.. I applied about two cans of high temp paint before I wrapped the pipes. And I even wrapped the pipes that went thru the bike (a.k.a under my ass) twice to keep the heat down.

Favorite convo i read on this board "PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN" "F**K U IT HAPPENED"
Suzuki Blvd M109R " Sliver " = assassinated by cager PW 696 " Pearl " = traded in M1100 " Loki " = Viking God of mischief ( Goddess in this case ) Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty pristine body, but rather to come in sliding sideways all used up screaming F*CK YEAH WHAT A RDIE!!

Thanks, that's encouraging..... I thought the shield would be obstructed by the s-bend.
