So I was out riding at lunch yesterday and i see this MV shop.
Eh might be cool i think so i stop.

They have a full carbonfiber MV Agusta sitting in the 'showroom' just a room with a ton of bikes so cramped you can't get to the back ones
But there are about 3 or 4 tricked out MVs then I notice in the shop in the back something on the workbench. The owner invites me in and tells me about it.

It's one of the factory race bikes that a customer of his bought from the team for a personal track bike. apparently the motor had put valves through a piston and it was in the middle of a rebuild. you should have seen this bike. the forks alone apparently were 20k euro.

anyway after lusting this thing he tells me about a new computer that he found out about in Italy.
He says he puts a couple of sensors on my bike I go for a ride and i come back and a custom map is built. So if i make a change like new BMC filter.. i just go back get the sensors hooked up... get a new map. easy as pie

not sure of the cost, but i had to go so i couldn't ask more questions... another time

This sounds like a setup for an episode of Amazing Stories or something. Either Satan owns the MV shop and the mappings cost one soul OR you've actually been dead for a while and on your next visit, the shop owner gives you the race bike and you ride it into heaven.

I watched too much tv in my formative years.

But all of that sounds pretty incredible. Keep us posted if you do return.

I'd watch that show or movie. Smiley

Hey Raux, where was this shop located?
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say...

Germany.

That sure was helpful. I used to live just down th A62 from where Raux is now, so I was trying to see what village/town the shop was in.  Thanks for the assistance though.  Kiss

One other note not mentioned is that this man is often seen loitering around outside the shop...
