I've got a new set of NGK wire and I'm having a problem removing the old ones I've tried a search of the forum and the net. I've tried giving the wires a twist and pull, unscrewing the small collar they slip into on the bottom of the coils. Both seem way tight and I'm concerned that any more pressure will snap something. Anyone with FHE? Thanks in advance.

IIRC, on some of the coils, the wires were not removable.

Not sure what years/models that was true on... hopefully someone else will know.

I had a 00' 750, and I know that I replaced the wires. However, that was a long time ago. I do think that they were a PITA to get off, but I can't say how.

Thanks guys, I guess I shouldn't have been such a nancy boy about it. Gave one a really good thug and it came out. Checked down the collar and it looked like it all came away, so some dielectric grease and new wires are on both. Thanks again [thumbsup]

Well, asking is cheaper than buying new coils.  ;)
