Anyone shave their head and have to get a new helmet?

It's getting thinner up top and I may end up buzzing it all off.  It's still good on the sides so I"m wondering if I were to cut it all off, if my helmet would be significantly looser.

Anyone have this experience?

no experience, but perhaps a bandana/scullcap or something along those lines?

might help keep the helmet clean too since the sweat will be absorbed by the bandana instead of the helmet padding.

just my .02

oh yea, we're gonna need some before and after pics chrome-dome. laughingdp

Rational reasons for new gear only come along every so often, so usually we're forced to get by with irrational ones.

Savor this one.

This quote is just so true.  It seems like when I have a reason that may not be totally rational I'll try to talk myself into it.  When I have a completely rational one, it's like I can't accept how much sense it makes.

I need to find a high end lid with flames and skulls and boobies on it.  Badass!

I found that when I shaved my head for the first time (same reason) that my head suddenly fit Shoei helmets better than Arai.  I've been told that Shoei has 5 different sized 'shells' for their helmet sizes whereas Arai only has 3 or 4, which could explain why I got a better fit having a Medium sized head.  I needed a new helmet anyway so it wasn't really an excuse but a good reason. As a bonus- I much prefer the low maintenance 'do.  Hair is highly overrated!
