Which way?  (not that there is a bad way to go)

160 over Wolf Creek Pass to Durango
550 (Million Dollar Hwy) - Silverton, Ouray then to Ridgeway
62 to Placerville
145 to Telluride

or

50 to Montrose
550 to Ridgeway...

or

24 to 82, Over Independence Pass into Aspen, then to Carbondale
133 over McClure Pass to Delta
50...  550...

If you have the time, try to get to Lake City (Hwy 149 - can get there from either 50 or 160.)  Take in a little of Colorado's Culinary history.  [evil]

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Crossing an awesome prairie on 285 south.

Coming out of Santa Isabel forest.

Sorry J, I mispelled it it's San Isabel.

Anywho, we took 285 to 50 to 550 to 62 to 145.

What an awesome sight it is when you start to see the Rockies.

All of these roads were great and the scenery even better. All would have me with many tickets or no license in no time.

Spending the night in Telluride, I can totally feel the effects of the altitude. No booze for me tonight.

Be sure and check out the waterfall if you haven't already.

I would recommend you go to Ouray, and over the Million Dollar Hwy.

From there, you can head south to Farmington (550 to 516), then 64 West to 491, and south to I-40...

Pick up the few remaining sections of Rt 66 - Especially the section from Kingman to Oatman!

He can't, he has his wife with him.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
