My wife is Italian and she inherited a bunch of her grandmother's recipes. Let's just say I've gotten fatter since we were married. Her mother makes this tiramisu that has rendered me unable to even consider ordering it in restaurants since I know full well I will be disappointed.
I'm hungry.

+1. There's this great restaurant in Carytown, Richmond, VA, -- it used to be in DC, I think, before they moved here -- called Cajun Bangkok. OMG, the food is so good. Some Thai dishes, some Cajun dishes, some are a fusion of the two. Really, really good. Spectacular flavor combinations. 11:56... time for lunch!

I'm Russian so the cuisine is sometimes.....different:
Borscht (cold beet soup with at least a table spoon of sour cream mixed in)
Imagine a yellow jello rectangle the size of a shoe box with meat, potatoes, and carrots suspended in it served cold. Don't know the name of this dish.
Potatoes with lots of fried onions
Cold cuts, usually different types of salami and maybe a cheese
Caviar black and orange
Some type of mushroom salad
Beet salad
Salted fishes (salmon, white fish)
Blintzes (thin pancakes) Put cold cuts, caviar, fish, salad, etc in here
Pickled apples, grapes, watermelon, tomatoes
and my favorite Russian cuisine

Yea, that's right the jello is hoof. Just didn't remember the name, thanks mang

What can I say, not a fan of my homelands brands
But we make some amazing moonshine, so long as no one has mixed in gas or antifreeze to give it some kick
