Need Help! Where is the battery on a BMW GS650?

A friend of mine is in Austrailia and I will ship his BMW GS (F) 650 to him tomorrow.  Thing is, I will have to remove the battery cable for shipment and I can't find the battery.  Any of you know how to get to it?  It is leaving tomorrow.  hmmmm

As I recall, it's under one of the side panels. Should be easy enough to trace the leads.
