Another bike besides a Duc???

+1 on variety, I would opt for a bike as different as possible from my current one. Ideally I would have a bike for every mood

That way they're both different, and both get ridden quite a bit...and I never really have to think too hard about which one to take. 

My 3rd bike is a track bike...pretty obvious when to ride that one!

so you ride the one that turns your crank that day ...but that being said the Monster is my reliable bike ...guaranteed to start  every time and run a 500km trip without a hickup

I've always wondered - do you have to top up the Argument Juice level, or does the factory installation last for the life of the bike?

it needs to be refilled, but sources are plentiful.

Were you planning to bob the front fender at all?

I buy a new bike every year or so, but I've decided having two bikes might be the ticket to keeping me from wanting a new one every other day.  I just bought my Monster.  My other bike is a Triumph Rocket III.  My suggestion on having more than one bike is not to have two bikes that are basically the same (i.e. two sport bikes or two cruisers).

How much did they pay you to ride that thing off the lot?

I'm going to shorten the front fender for sure. I haven't decided if I want to round or square off the fenders. I'm going on vacation soon and won't have time to even look at the bike for a week or so. I hope to have it done by Labor Day.

Nope, toss the front fender as far away as it will fly and cut the bejeezus out of the rear.

That's the one - but I went w/ a flat bracket rather than an arched one. It has a few holes drilled in it to keep it light, but it's a really heavy duty piece.

you don't ride off the lot.. you get launched.  not sure what you don't like about it, but it has loads of power, is very maneuverable for a big bike, and is comfortable to boot.

There are many benefits to multiple bikes, assuming you ride them. All of mine get regular use, no garage queens. When I take out the crusiers it is for a different kind of ride, but I still ride them like they were meant to be ridden - which is why I bought a Victory, I'm a two lane, twisty roads, 10 over posted rather than 10 under posted. A Ducati and a Crusier makes sense to me, different rides for different moods. And it is all about mielage in the maintenance dept, one ride you just get to the service interval faster, with multiple rides you spread it out and you have another bike when one is in for service. If you want any details on expereince with Victory bikes let me know, I bought the fisrt model year 99', which then went to my brother-in-law and now his son, still on the road, no issues - but for sure the new bikes 03' and up are absolute perfection in comparison. I won't get into a Harley vs Victory debate but I encourage you to look at the technology behind the product and would include the Stars in that. Last point is there is no rule on how many bikes one can have, life is short, have as many as you can afford as long as they put a smile on you face when you ride them. - Gene
