Hi,

The dealer has a demo monster 1100S with 180 miles on it, and $1000 less. Just wonder it worth to buy?

Thanks!

Knowing what I did to my dealers demo with only 50 miles on the clock, I wouldn't want it  Evil

$1000.00 of retail? That wouldn't be good enough now.

I got about $1500 off my 696 demo so no, $1000 off an 1100s demo that cost almost twice as much is not a good deal. push for $2000 or $3000 off or buy a new one.

The base price on these is $13,995 but the ones at the local dealer have all had termi's put on (maybe some other goodies also) and are, if I recall correctly, about $3000 more.

And yes, some people thrash demo bikes, I think they can take it.

Push for a bigger discount or a set of Termis.

For those of you who follow the break in procedure to the letter of the law I wouldn't waste your time anymore. Each and every bike when completed is run on the dyno for 50 minutes. We saw the dyno guy ride a streefighter in into the booth and run it to the pin in every gear just after starting it. Keep it below 4000rpm for the first 100kms...yeah right. With 50min on the dyno at the factory she is good to go when you get it. 1 out of every 1000 engines is torn apart after this process to inspect bearings etc.

Considering my local Duc dealer is selling new (non demo) bikes with $2K - $5K mark downs right now I would think you can get a better deal then that.

1st post guys ! I've been watching the "Demo" deals from various nearby BC dealers and noticed some give a small ($500) discount or so but are still charging other fees. A demo is considered "used" but usually includes full warranty. This being said what should not be charged is PDI, Freight, Document Fees (a license to steal  Embarrassed ) etc. Be careful of these bogus fees when you look at demos.  bang head
