So I'd like to lose the side panels.  I've seen a bunch of bikes here w/o them and really like the look.  What I'm wondering is where to relocate the coil for the vertical cylinder (it's hidden behind the left side panel).  I'm curious where some of you have put it or just some suggestions from the mod gurus. Thanks!

What year and model?

So: '05 620

If you have the later smaller square coil, it doesn't look too bad as is.

If you have the older big round coil, the easiest place to put it is under the seat.

It's a tight fit as is, your wires will be a bit on the short side, the oil breather catch will be in the way, and you'll need to figure out a way to mount it.

Easiest way would be to buy or make a plate to remover the oil catch, and relocate the regulator/rectifier.

Well after much debate as to wether or not to ditch the crankcase breather catch, I decided to do it.  Thanks for the replies.

Yes, yes I know it's been along time since the last post, but did a search and found the exact topic here and wondering, what (if anything) did you guys do with the original mounting bracket?  Seems like a shame after carefully hiding wiring and coil that the bracket should remain as is...

Ground mine off and repainted the area.

did you just take the hose off or put on a mini k&n.  I have the mini k&n on my race bike and really don't have much more than a wipe worth after every weekend of running the s&&t out of the bike.   bacon
