Those are both quite clever options. I think it might be illegal to not have a headlight though  ;) The REI ones seem like a very good solution to extended range.

i have no problem with a 1-day trip. the 2-day was only proposed for the people that may not wanna do 400 miles in a day.

Im in for the 14th & 15th & I have nice lodging avail. for us in Pismo Beach...... we could dine Ffri. night @ Guisseppe's & then head over to Harry's to see if Madden's in town & let Derby work his magic ;)

House has a great ocean view as well so we could always cook out there & enjoy the sunset & watch the ambulance on it's frequent trips to the dunes [laugh]
