Hey Ducksters;

I just prices out an OEM c spanner for the concentric chain adjustment on the single sided swingarm (SSS) on my 06 s2r.  Pricey; is should be worth all of 10 bucks max;

has anyone found a reasonably priced one?  Reference pls.

Or other tools that work; a bike mechanic suggested a bronze punch ...  Cheers Dave

Whether you get one from Motowheels, Desmotimes, etc. they all run about $30.

 The major tool trucks (SnapOn Mac Matco) all sell spanners that would probably work, but you won't buy 'em that cheap.

Many of the sponsors on this board sell them, ebay is also a good source.  If you realy don't want to spend the money a punch will do the job, it will put some marks in the adjuster though.

Almost any C spanner will work. I use the spanners from my adjustable Tein suspension for my 240sx...

+1. I actually just use the spanner that came with my Ohlins rear shock.

I tried the shock size c spanners but there too small and lible to slip ... damaging parts and nuckles ...

I took one of my Ohlins spanners & ground the back tang off.  Still works great for the shock backup wrench and although not perfect it does a fine job on on the eccentric.
