the sun just came out  Cool

autumn is in full swing here in CT... the colors are spectacular!

cool mornings, comfortable daytime temps, and cool evenings.

while it's not officially sweater weather yet, it's time to put away the shorts.

3+ 5-8 inches in the last 24 hours. Wind gusts to 69mph. Tidal flooding is peaking about 6pm. High tide 7+ feet above normal.
Schools are all closed for tomorrow. Post office closed, banks closed, water from the river is about 5 houses down and rising.
Lynnhaven fishing pier ripped apart about two hours ago. Waves at the beach 14-16' high. Waves in the Chesapeake 12-14' high.
Governor declared state of emergency.
Storm's not supposed to end until tomorrow night.
Worst I've seen since hurricane Isabel 6 years ago.
