i trust you. your the painter. i just didnt know there were primers that doesnt scratch off. Would make a lot of sense to do what you said and paint it so it doenst rust.

maybe they do it on purpose. i mean every oz of rust they blast off is weight reduction right?  :)
That's fine if you're not the one doing the blasting. :P

Agreed.

However, I think they went too far.

I build cars to be driven.  It's what I'd want to do with them.

As we all know, when you go out and try to utilize a machine's full potential sometimes you crash.

There's too much work into the skin to risk wrecking it.

Of course, if you can afford to have it built in the first place then what's it matter?

OK...

so BMW copied the 944. :P

If you recall, and I'm certain you do... ;D ;D

the the 944 looked like a 924 on steroids as the M3 looks like a 3** series on roids.

That first generation M3 was a true factory hot rod.  The engine was the twin overhead cam M1 engine with two cylinders lopped off, fender flares to accommodate the over sized everything on each corner, aerodynamic add-ons to keep it on the ground, not much luxury and all the rattles of a home built.  Then there was the Evo version we never got in the states.  Yes, an M3 on steroids.  IMO, one of the best BMWs ever made.

Is that the M3 CSL you are talking about?  ???

No matter what, that would be wicked to drive [thumbsup]

This one:

Actually, there was the EVO followed by the EVO II.  By didn't come to the US I meant officially through BMW.  Then came the second generation M3 which was much more civilized.  I think you are referring to the 3.0 CSL which was not a 3 series car.
