That's amazing... ...probably spins the wheels, and handles badly, ...but still amazing.

Never know until you drive it, but it looks to me like they put some thought into the suspension. . .

Very cool, the intake is a work of art.  Looks like the used a E60 M5 front subframe and a E90 3 series rear subframe.  I would guess the car drives and handles very good, plus having at least 507 HP in a car that prob weighs less then 2500 lbs would be a blast.  Any more articles on it?

Nice work, but I've never understood why builders strip a body and leave it to rust while they work. [roll]

A coat of epoxy primer would eliminate that.

That's too much work. . .

It's less work than re-blasting the whole body to get the rust gone...

You're sarcasm detector is malfunctioning.  Give it a smack or change the batteries.

Me thinks if you prime it, youll end up scratching it off as you build it. which will require more work to fix it if theres a lot of small scratches.

I'm not talking about a filling type primer.

There are epoxies that go on in very thin coats that will protect the metal and not show the scratches you're talking about when the surfacer is sanded.

That whole body was coated with a surfacer and sanded out...trust me.

i trust you. your the painter. i just didnt know there were primers that doesnt scratch off. Would make a lot of sense to do what you said and paint it so it doenst rust.

maybe they do it on purpose. i mean every oz of rust they blast off is weight reduction right?  :)
