Anodizing fades after time. This we all know. Question is, Rizoma grips, etc. are anodized, what issues have people had with thier products. And any other products? A topic in the parts board has been brought up and I am curious to know just how many people are experiencing extreme premature failure of the coloring process.

All anodizing over time will eventually fade or discolor.  Blacks go brown.  Reds go pink.  There are some better methods of anodizing then others -- but most of it is the cheap stuff today due to environmental regulations.

Reality is that after a few years, best bet is just to remove all the anodized parts and etch the color off.  Then polish on a small polisher to make the bare metal "bright".  Route your big box of parts to your local anodizer.  It's cheap to anodize a box full of parts and you can select almost any color you want them to be.

There's just something about natural finishes... whether it's wood or metal or plastic. Same reason I ride a naked bike!

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
