The tabs that hold the brake light on my beer tray broke. I eventually want to get a nice carbon fiber one but for the time being i'm thinking of just getting a stock replacement off fleabay.
Question:
it looks like there are some differences between mine (2000 M900) and the newer ones (m620) - are they interchangable?

I would say no, since the frames are different.

Just chop the tail.  [evil] [laugh] I just wanted to push some buttons.

No - the 2000 beer trays had 3 mounting bolts - that ones got 4.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

IF...you can stand the abuse just post a "beer tray wanted" in the parts wanted section.  I can't imagine a more available part since you're probably the last person that has one on.

maybe i'll just hack mine up to hold the light better until i can get a nice CF replacement  [roll]

Go to the hardware store and get a couple little angle brackets.

A little drilling, a few screws or bolts... You could get it fixed for a couple bucks, and about 30 minutes of time.

MrFryMoto

well i have the taillight remounted thanks to some spare aluminum bar i had.

Here's some prototype pics of my goal:

i actually want to put the lights (the white bar in the pictures) below the cowl.
the questions is: how do i go about filling the space between the seat and the tray?

i could make a custom tray - but i still think it would look funny. I'm thinking i need to lower the seat somehow (hack the storage compartment).

take some thin gauge steel and just make a nice curved plate that follows the line of the cowl. Inset it behind the lip, and cut the bottom edge to have semicircles cutout where the frame is? Maybe do it with some perfed steel so it looks cool?

be creative :)
