I ordered my S2R 800 in August, took delivery in Mid December, that was Painful

But think of this way, it's more time to spend on this Forum asking questions and learning about Maintenance, good suppliers and effective Mods.

That's what I did while waiting for my S2R, so the day my bike arrived, I took it home and started Modding before the engine even had time to get cold!

And it's fun also hanging around here chatting with this bunch of Crazies!  cheeky

Haha aint that the truth. I own and currently ride a 20year grey import. Full of bugs. Patients I know. Like waiting for the wife to come pick me up on the side of the road in the p1ssing rain. Like waiting for the wife to pick me up in the middle of the night. Like leaving the thing on the side of the road and walking home. So patience with old bikes no problem. Patience waiting for new bike - Yes very much a young grasshopper.

Time to pray to the Ducati gods maybe.

Let me know if & where you leave it. I'll come & pick it up.  Wink

Owning a Duc is good practice for being in a relationship with a woman!!  Evil Roll Eyes Grin cheeky

Ya gotta learn patience, things will happen for no good reason, it will seem that you are the target of a shitty attitude, and things will happen when the bike (? waytogo? )is good and ready to let it happen and not before! Regardless of the amount of sweet talking, cajoling and bribery.  laughingdp applause bow down

Oh, and spend vast sums on their appearance and not get so much as a "Play with me" if you please.  Evil

I await the response from the ladies that is sure to follow.  chug laughingdp cheeky

Not sure about what the response from the ladies will be, but I want what some of what you're smoking.

I waited almost one year  Shocked and am on the waiting list again for more than 6 month so far  popcorn

Wow, it took you a year to convince the wife. I pity you.

Hey Justo,

Your patience will be rewarded soon enough.
Give us an intro to yourself in the intro thread.
Who
What - 696 soon
Where
etc....

Of course, how rude of me. off to do that now.

As for enjoying the wait and using this forum instead. pffft. You may rather spend your time in forums while the sun is shining, but id much rather be on the road riding. Sure the forum is great, but only to make the work day go quicker and get the biking fix. coffee Apart from reading what flubber and of course informative banter gets dribbled here. Very funny and Good times!

At this rate. From my retirement Village where I will end up to Bowls. (I'm 33 now). Mahaha.

Seriously though, predominately commuting to work. 20km run either direction. I live in the northern Suburbs of Sydney so my main purpose is to get to work. But its not gonna stop me from hitting the black on weekends and letting the wind blow through my (probably by then, grey hairs).

laughingdp If she only knew what was coming and how much it was costing it would have taken him a lot longer than a year to convince her.

I think the boy needs some context for that one Dock.

Oh buggar another NSW'person.  Jukie gets all the new boys (and girls) to play with.  Not fair  bang head Suppose I have to wait a bit longer for some semblance of summer to reach us down here in Vic before anybody in this state will be out and about on their new steeds.

And Justo, at 33 you are one of the youngsters on this board.   Kiss
