^^^ I am admittedly a Horns diehard, but Texas played their worst half of the season last yr against OSU in a game Texas clearly didn't want to be in, and was still barely down to the Buckeyes. Not taking anything away from OSU; they showed a lot of heart, but Texas played a subpar game and still won.

Off of MSN Fox Sports:

Straight out of Crompton:
Each week, we like to tip our cap to some of the best college football blogs. This week's post worth highlighting comes from the Alabama-based Tidefans.com, in which a thread emerged reporting on Tennessee quarterback Jonathan Crompton's father being escorted out of Neyland Stadium after arguing with a pack of fellow Tennessee fans who were heckling his son.

It's been a tough start to the season for Tennessee QB Jonathan Crompton. (Joe Murphy / Getty Images)

One 'Bama commenter's take: "He probably took a swing at the guy, but missed completely and hit somebody three rows up."

Another: "If this is true, it means that at least SOMEONE in the Crompton family has some fight in them. That's nice to see."

Gotta love SEC fans. There's nothing like them.

Pretty damn funny after watching him in the Florida game.

Kind of off-topic, but I have been following the great wailing and gnashing of teeth that has come out of Lubbock since TTU lost a close one at UH last weekend.  Actual quotes from the Red Raider scout.com forum

"Those who say humidity wasn't a factor was obviously not at the game.  My daughter threw up from heat exhaustion and we left the game to go home...before halftime."

"Their bodies are acclimated to playing in Houston. Our's are not. How are you going to prepare a team psychologically to deal with those conditions? It's impossible."

It was 84 (eighty four) degrees at kickoff.  That's Fahrenheit.  It dropped to 77 by the end of the game.

TTU fans are some of the whiniest out there. I've also never seen any bunch more willing to accept "moral victories" - listen to 'em talking about the loss in Austin a couple wks ago, and they'll have you thinking they should be a championship contender for "only" losing by 10.

BWAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAAAA!

Finally Michigan gets exposed for the overated crappy ass team that they are.  Michigan State's defense is horrible and they had they're way with Tate for all but 10 minutes of the game.  A great 4th qtr drive by Michigan but wait until you face a real defense like Iowa or Ohio State.  If you think Michigan State's d-line got a lot of pressure you have no idea what is coming for you in November.

Jud,

You're my bud and I've got your back but you're smoking crack.  Thanks for trying to rile me up while I'm at work on a Saturday.  Buckeyes win by 24 easily.  Just because Indiana moved the ball against Michigan don't think they can when they face a team that actually plays defense.

Michigan's offense is on track but Rich Rod needs to realize you have to play defense in the Big Ten.  He got by in the ACC at WV not playing any but he'll get creamed every year in the Big Ten.

Don't get me wrong, I do love Michigan Football.  However, I think they made a mistake by completely shit-canning the system they had when they brought Dick Rod on board.  My personal opinion is that they simply needed to get a little more aggressive with their play calling than the ultra conservative style they had.

I still hope OSU loses tonight.

My picks for an enjoyable Saturday evening: Maimi over the Sooners, USC over Cal.

Glimpses I caught of this afternoon's games show that Iowa and Va Tech are not the real deal.
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

Any real Michigan fan knew coming into the season that they were not going to be Great this year.  I have been a Blue fan for many many years but just from watching the first four games I knew they were going to lose a few games this year.  To say they are overrated though is kind of a stretch.

Over rated is a top five team who loses to an unranked opponent (USC along with a few others).  I think that being ranked close to 20th after going 4-0 and only having one slightly good win (ND) is pretty appropriate.

I do not like how people jumped on the Tate Forcier bandwagon.  His stats are OK but when you watch him play he is not as good as people are playing him up to be.  The U of M defense has also less than impressed me so far this year as well which is the biggest disappointment.  MI has always had a very solid defense both on the ground and in the air and this year I dont think they could stop a sneeze let alone any halfway decent offense.
