Why thank you very much Swampduc.

I second that.  I stayed up half the night just to watch the game and LOVED it.  It is nice to have Bo Pelini in his rightful place again.  Maybe not the best showing by either team in the first three quarters, but honestly how much can you do in that type of weather.

As far as the Horns go, that is definately the team that I cheer on in the 12 south.  Great times watching them the last few years while the Huskers have been down.  Their championship against USC was beautiful.  The cockiness after the game from Leinart was inexcuseable.

As far as the SEC goes, good conference.  No doubt about it.  But not perfect.

The season will sort itself out.  As long as I get a great final game between two deserving teams I'll be happy.  For the first time in a while I am hopeful of a possibilty for a win against Oklahoma this year. Huskers have a long way to go to get there though.

A quick scan of today's results:

Auburn and LSU no longer undefeated as the SEC begins its war of attrition.
Ohio St lays a lickin' on Wisconsin
Texas struggled for a half before pulling away from Wisconsin
Michigan loses... Again.
Oklahoma welcomes Sam back.
TCU wins again.

Now, is Oregon for real?
Is Alabama going to be there at the end of the season?
Is VaTech that good?

I love parity, and I am still rooting for USC to makeit to the championship game.

Quack Quack.

The season is starting to sort itself out.  Some great match-ups to look forward to as these games become more and more important.

I meant Texas over Colorado up there.

I see USC has crept to No. 6.

Texas-Oklahoma this week, right? Well, Bradford is back and it would help further muddle the rankings if the Sooners knock of the Horns.

I have to check the schedules, but I'm guessing that Alabama and Florida do not play each other in the regular season.

Florida St has 3 straight losses for the first time since... Gawd, man walked on the moon? Bowden will step down at the end of the season, especially if the losing continues. It's time.

In the parity stakes, TCU and Oregon are doing well.

No, we do not play each other regular season.

Florida and Bama will eventually play in the SEC championship,  I see Bama pulling out a close one this year and being the eventual NC.

Finally the pollsters see that Texas is a little weak this year.  Upset alert for the Longhorns this week.

Orgeon looks better every week here is to hoping they beat SC and get to the Rose bowl.

Now to my Buckeyes.  Damn the defense is good but Pryor keeps taking steps backwards.  The D manned up and was on the field for 45 minutes of game time.  Horrible play by the offense but to their credit they didn't touch the ball for an hour and 5 minutes after the TD drive late in the 2nd.  I don't get how Pryor can look so good on one drive and so horrible the rest of the game.  The defense will get us a Big Ten championship but we'll get creamed in the BCS (again!) if Pryor doesn't get better.

I disagree.  He can and will be a really good passer if Tressel/Bolman use him the right way and call better plays.  I put most of the bad offense this week on Tress.  Against Indiana they called way more aggressive plays and TP had 3tds passing, completed passes to 8 different receivers, and had a rushing TD.  The offense played mostly out out of the shotgun and was effective.  But then again IU got stomped by Virgina.  This week against a better D-line in Wisconsin they played more out of the I and tried a lot of power running plays.  Also,  after the 3rd quarter (which OSU's offense ran 2 plays in) Tress went into Tressel ball which is run on three plays and if you don't get the first, punt.

The ESPN talking heads are degrading Texas' ranking because of their schedule so far. We'll see Saturday vs. OK.

The same pundits are jumping on the VaTech bandwagon. And, they all feel Alabama is the real No. 1.

I don't know what to say about Ohio St. Tressel is obviously conservative. But, they do play excellent defense. I just think that they don't have another big-time playmaker at running back or receiver to take some of the load off of Pryor.

It is really going to be interesting the 2nd half of the season.

Those are all moot points, bro.

From the style of coaching.......he sucks

You may be right bud.  You may be right.

But Purdue, Minnesota, and New Mexico State the next three weeks can give him some practice where we will be in no trouble of losing.  The last three weeks (at Penn State, Iowa at home, and at Big Blow) will be the keys to the season.  I still think OSU is easily the best team in the Big Ten.

Certainly the best defensive team...

I don't think Tressel sucks.  He is actually a pretty good coach...as long as OSU isn't playing in a big bowl game.  When that happens he folds like a lawn chair and OSU gets humiliated.  Pretty much like Bob Stoops.

Just to be fair Tress is .500 in BCS bowl games. That includes a National Championship against a Miami team that most talking heads were calling one of the best teams ever.  Stoops is 2 of 8 with one NC.
